The Leisure & Cultural Services Department’s Music Delight Series will feature four concerts from November to January.

 

Russia’s leading modern folk ensembles Izumrud, highlighting a troika of quintessentially Russian musical instruments of the babalaika, domra and accordion bayan, will stage a concert on November 15 at Sha Tin Town Hall.

 

Ensemble SU breaks boundaries by bringing music to life through the merging of Korean traditional and Western musical instruments. Their concert will be held on December 6 at Sha Tin Town Hall.

 

Erhu player Xu Ke, also known as the “Paganini of the Erhu world”, and the Tokyo String Quintet will jointly present their concert on December 14 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall.

 

Two local a cappella groups, VSing and Boonfaysau, will present Cantopop classics, reinterpret popular Asian folk tunes and perform original songs on January 18 at Kwai Tsing Theatre.
