Hundreds of anti-government protesters found themselves stranded in Tung Chung on the evening of September 1, after disrupting rail and road networks leading to the airport.

With rail services suspended and bus routes at a virtual standstill, some protesters like recent university graduate Jasmine sought refuge at nearby flats, fearing that they may be arrested.

She managed to find a flatowner, Kary, who was willing to take her in before she could find a ride back to the city.

A week later, she returned to pick up her helmet and other protest gear she had left behind.
