They said that at about 6.50pm, a coach driven by a 52-year-old man was leaving a shuttle bus station on Wai Yip Street near Ngau Tau Kok, and appeared to lose control, ramming into a 38-year-old male pedestrian and two female pedestrians, aged 34 and 37, and a stone pillar at the side of the road.
They said the 38-year-old male pedestrian was trapped between the pillar and the coach, and was taken to United Christian Hospital unconscious, and certified dead at 7.28pm.
Two female pedestrians, the driver of the bus, and four female coach passengers, aged from 22 to 46, were also injured in the accident.
They were sent to United Christian Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment.
