The MTR Corporation said on Saturday that services on the Tsuen Wan line were gradually returning to normal, after being disrupted for about two hours on Saturday morning due to overhead line problems at Sham Shui Po.

Just after 6.30 am, the company said services between Jordan and Lai King stations were suspended, affecting seven stations on the Tsuen Wan line. About an hour later, the disruption only covered the four stations between Prince Edward and Lai King as repair teams got to work.

The MTR put on a free shuttle bus service.

The company later also arranged for some Kwun Tong line trains to serve Central, arranging for them stop at Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Jordan on the Tsuen Wan line.
