Anti-extradition bill activists unfurled a giant banner at a mall in Admiralty on Wednesday lunchtime, with a large group of people also belting out a protest anthem.

The huge yellow banner with the words “Glory to Hong Kong” unfurled at Pacific Place had previously made appearances at Times Square in Causeway Bay and at a mall in Lok Fu.

Anti-extradition bill protesters have taken to group singing in public places and malls as a new part of their campaign after the song Glory to Hong Kong caught the imagination of campaigners.

Flash mobs had appeared in many malls across the city to sing the song and chants slogans.

The singing has prompted some pro-Beijing groups to also gather in malls to sing the national anthem and other patriotic songs.

On Tuesday, a pro-Beijing group had appeared at Pacific Place for an unannounced singing demonstration.
